DEE DAVIS is pleased to announce that she just agreed to write a new romantic suspense series for Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books). The series, about an off-the-books black ops division of the CIA, will kick off with back-to-back books in 2010. She is also putting final touches on SET-UP IN SOHO, the second book in the Matchmaker Chronicles from St. Martin’s Griffin Press.


LEANNA HIEBER makes 2nd Sale!! She sold a novella to The Wild Rose Press. PASSION AT AN EXHIBITION, written under the name Tori Anne, will be released later this year. Leanna sold her first paranormal, DARK NEST, to Crescent Moon Press. It will be an e-release next month (May 2008).


KATHLEEN O’REILLY is pleased to announce that her book, BEYOND BREATHLESS (Jan07), has been nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award for Best Blaze, and it was also nominated for a Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence. AND, Kathleen has two new Blazes coming out in April and May.


MAYA RODALE will have a second book out this November from Berkley. THE ROGUE AND THE RIVAL is about a rake who wants to reform, his reluctant nurse and a negligent chaperone.

RWA®/NYC's purpose is to nurture budding writers and to support published ones. RWA®/NYC is in a unique and advantageous position for both published and unpublished writers as it is located in the heart of the romance industry. Monthly meetings have featured a variety of industry professionals, including editors, agents, booksellers, book buyers and leading romance authors. Our membership includes writers knowledgeable about contemporary and historical romances, mainstream fiction, gothics, regencies, true confessions and short story fiction. RWA/NYC Chapter Brunch

In lieu of a regular monthly meeting in May, we will be having a chapter brunch at:


P.J. Clarke’s on The Hudson

Four World Financial Center (250 Vesey St, New York, NY, 10281)


The price is $26 per person and will include a choice of entrée and unlimited coffee, tea and soda.  Tax and tip are included.  Hope Tarr will be our guest speaker at the brunch.


THE BRUNCH IS OPEN TO CHAPTER MEMBERS ONLY

PAYMENTS MUST BE RECIEVED BY APRIL 25TH TO RESERVE A PLACE
