Submissions may be made through email. Please download the
following document for electronic submission rules. Payment can be
made through PayPal or by check. Please note that the submission is
not eligible for judging until both the emailed scene and payment have
been received.

published nor contracted to publish in novella or novel-
length fiction as of September 12, 2011
Enter: a humorous scene from your romance novel
Think When Harry Met Sally, How to Lose a Guy in 10
Days, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Backup Plan, The
Proposal, Leap Year, The Princess Bride or of any other
romantic comedy. Think of the writing of Susan Philips,
Nina Bangs, Janet Evanovich, Victoria Laurie, Loretta
Chase, Julie Garwood, Maya Rodale, and other romance
writers for inspiration. Then send in your scene from
anywhere in your novel* which illustrates humor and
love/romance. Fifteen pages maximum, brief synopsis
(two pages maximum, not judged)
Judges: Published authors
Final judge: Denise Nelson from Carina Press
Prize: $ 75
*Our contest does not have categories, but is open to
entries from any genre of romance, and in either
category or single-title lengths. Just be sure that your
scene fit’s the general contest category - love &
