Toni moved to New York City as a teenager and found herself working at the famous
Copacabana and Latin Quarter working with Frank Sinatra, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Ella
Fitzgerald, etc. She has acted in movies, recorded musical selections and co-authored
some wonderfully entertaining and helpful books with her husband Dr. Philip Terman
including COPACABANA SEXCAPADES and LAUGH YOUR FAT OFF.

Lisa Verge Higgins was studying for her Ph.D. in organic chemistry when she wrote
her first novel, a historical romance set in revolutionary France.  That novel was
snapped up by Avon, and released in 1988 as DEFIANT ANGEL.  Since then, she's
written twelve historical and contemporary romances, collected rave reviews, been
published in fifteen languages, and was nominated for a RITA for THE FAERY
BRIDE, a "beauty and the beast" tale set in ancient Ireland.  Her next novel, due to hit
the shelves in January 2011, is THE PROPER CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF
FRIENDSHIP, her first venture into mainstream women's fiction.  Lisa currently lives
in New Jersey with her husband and three children.

Pearl Wolf published her first work of fiction--a short anecdote for THE READER’S
DIGEST—when she was fourteen years old.  For this effort, she received the grand
sum of $5.00.  That was enough to start her on her writing career.  Pearl is active in
several writers organizations including New Jersey Romance Writers, Florida
Romance Writers, NYC Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime, NY-Tristate

Mingmei Yip

Mingmei Yip’s literary career began at fourteen when her essay was published in a literary
magazine of which she got a big, fat check of $10. Now she has eight books to her credit,
the latest being her second novel Petals from the Sky (Kensington Books 2010), a
Buddhist, interracial love story set in Hong Kong, Manhattan, China, and Paris.

Her debut novel Peach Blossom Pavilion, the story of the last Chinese courtesan, or
Geisha, has genreated numerous good reviews and is now in its fourth printing.

Mingmei also writes and illustrates children’s books. Her Chinese Children’s Favorite
Stories was published by Tuttle and has sold over 3,5000 copies.

Mingmei is currently finishing her third novel, a love story in the famous Silk Road and
wiritng/illustrating another children’s book for Tuttle.
